THE ART OF CACHACA

Masterfully distilled in copper stills and carefully aged in fine woods, Cachaça Antonieta is the pure essence of the Brazilian soul. Produced in small batches, each bottle represents a unique work of art, created to celebrate life's greatest moments.

CONCEPT

Inspired by the Brazilian imperial period, Antonieta was born, a noble cachaça whose identity is represented in its logo by symbols of the time:

Crown of Dom Pedro II

Dom Pedro was upright, honest, and wise, recognized as a vigorous patron of knowledge, culture, and science. In Antonieta's logo, the King's crown symbolizes integrity and legitimacy.

Baroque Arabesques

They represent the dominant artistic style in Brazil during the 19th century. Aleijadinho, the greatest icon of Brazilian Baroque, had Dom Pedro II as a great admirer of his works. In the design, arabesques express balance.

Black Hummingbird

The Brazilian bird, discovered in 1817, has a gigantic heart and symbolizes beauty, harmony, and strength. These characteristics represent the values of Cachaça Antonieta.

LIKE IN THE OLD DAYS

The Cachaça logo was created by woodcut artist Ramon Rodrigues, inspired by the icons chosen to represent the brand. Woodcutting is an ancient printing technique that uses wood as a matrix. During the Brazilian Empire, it was used to make the first cachaça labels. The wood used for the logo is 45 cm wide. The work took four days to complete.

ART AS INSPIRATION

Cachaça Antonieta is strongly influenced by Brazilian art and culture and is a great supporter of both, sponsoring cultural events and always seeking to work in partnership with artists from across the country.

The labels were designed by visual artists Pedro Franz and Vinicius Vieira, who created exclusive illustrations inspired by Aleijadinho's work and characteristic Brazilian elements, such as birds, sugarcane, the tropeiro (trader), the master distiller, and historic churches. The labels are made of fabric, cut, and attached by hand.

PRODUCTION

Antonieta is produced at the Taverna Real farm in Itaverava, Minas Gerais. Taverna Real is located on the old Estrada Real, a route designated by the Portuguese crown in the mid-17th century to transport gold and diamonds from Minas Gerais.

SUSTAINABLE AGING

Cachaça Antonieta is part of the Sustainable Aging program, thus ensuring the planting and cultivation of native wood forests used to produce barrels made with native woods, such as Pau Brasil, Bálsamo, Amburana, Jequitibá and others.
